  ARCH101- EXERCISE 5
 In  this assignment we had no restriction  about size of our elements as long as they were multiplies of 4,5 cm. We were supposed to make use of the rhythm that we explored in the previous assignment. I had found  a rhythm from snowflakes. Snowflakes  rhythm contınues in two different ways .From each edges of hexagon , smaller hexagons and branches emerges, and this  succession of getting  smaller and smaller repeated in 120 degree angle. 


 In order to express my rhythm  completely ı decided to use 4 different groups  . All groups are identically different by there is an organizatıon rule  which is followed in formation of groups. Fırst group has 2 small rectangles whereas second group has 1 small rectangle and 1 square . 1 small rectangle grows into square. In third group there is 2 squares , that means other small rectangle grows into square. Lastly,in fourth group  1 square is replaced with bigger rectangles .I used this type of successıon to symbolıze branching rhythm in snowflakes. In terms of unity, ı connected all groups throgh triangles  so that every group  contınue with  90 degree spinning ,which refers to  repetıtıon in angles in snowflakes.


                                                         
                                                    ARCH101-EXERCISE 4
               In our fourth assignment , apart from squares,rectangles and triangles , we were given a new geometrical plane;parallelograms .( 45 degree angle and 9 cm side length ) This time , i cared about not to leave  elements that are not related to groups.










             I used two kinds of group. The first group consists elements of 1 square, 2 rectangles and 1 parallelogram ( picture 1) and the second group consists elements of 1 rectangle, 1 square  and 2 parallelograms  ( picture 2 ).  In order to connect  groups to each other i used  trıangles. By doing so , i also made use of initial  function of triangles which is changing dimension. When parallelograms and triangles  connected to each other
, I got vısually balanced  3d design and an orderly orgınazed unıty .

                      ARCH101 -EXERCISE 3                                        15/10/2015
 

      In our third assignment , we are given a third  kind of element which is  an isosceles right triangle with side length 9 cm. In the discussıon of second assignment , our ınstructors introduced us new terms : groupıng and repetition. They were so new and confusing  for me but i tried to make use of them in my third exercise. As it can be easily seen  from pictures that i formed a group consisting elements of one rectangle,two squares and one triangle,ı repeated this group three times . I used  rectangles and triangles to connect these groups. I also repeated triangles  which of fuction is connector . However, later we learnt that these kind of designs have a base which leads to lack 3 dimensity.




                 ARCH 101 - EXERCISE 2                                                                      12/10/2015
           In this assıgnment we have a new kind of element:9x4,5 cm rectangle .Since my first design was not so stable , i tried to increase the relations between the elements to increase the stability .Moreover, we had learnt to show three dimensity in the discussıon  of exercise 1 so i paid attention to create diversity in  length,width and depth .Nevertheless , i later noticed that i did not have any diversity in length on the base .                                                      


                  ARCH 101-EXERCISE 1                                                                      08/10/2015



        This is the very beginning of my journey, my  first step in Architecture . We were supposed to make a 3D design  by using element of 9x9cm squares. My intention was making an abstract design which is not symmetrical;however,this challenged me . As i did not know any rule and this practising was foreign to me , the result was not very satisfying . My design was asymmetrical as i planned but it was not so stable . Moreover , it can be easily seen that i was amateour at taking photo of my design .
